A space to understand yourself more deeply, make sense of what you have lived through, and find a way forward.
There are times when life becomes difficult to navigate on your own. You may be struggling
with anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, a major life transition, or simply a sense
that something no longer feels right.
Sometimes there is a clear reason for seeking therapy. Sometimes there is simply a feeling
that you are stuck, disconnected or carrying something you don't quite know how to name.
Therapy offers a space to slow down and explore what is happening beneath the surface.
I work with the whole person — your thoughts, emotions, relationships, experiences and
patterns.
Rather than simply trying to fix what is difficult, I am interested in understanding what lies
beneath it. The ways we have learned to cope, protect ourselves and relate to others can
make sense in the context of our lives, yet may no longer serve us.
Together, we can bring these patterns into awareness and explore what might be possible
beyond them.
I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, adapting the work to you rather than asking
you to fit a particular model.
My work is grounded in person-centred, humanistic and relational therapy, and
incorporates cognitive and behavioural approaches, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and
solution-focused work. I also draw on mindfulness, the Enneagram, Jungian psychology
and contemplative perspectives where these are helpful.
We may focus on what is happening in your life now, or explore earlier experiences,
relationships and beliefs that continue to shape the present.
The pace is collaborative. We go as far as is useful and manageable for you.
For me, therapy is not primarily about becoming more productive, positive or well-adjusted.
It is about becoming more fully yourself.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin.
You simply need to have a sense that something needs attention.
If you would like to explore whether working together might be right for you, I offer an initial
conversation to discuss what is bringing you to therapy and what you are looking for.
